Jason A Hopkins
Managing Director
Jason has achieved technical success in many stages of his career. The most recent is his world record breaking design for thermoelectric generators; he took the record from 10% to 83% efficiency. He has worked in solar energy with one Nobel Prize winning team and a team that won the highest prize in European science.
He was the Project Manager, Production Manager and Technology Leader for the world’s first production runs of a photo-electrochemical devices (a type of solar cell). The production started with raw chemicals and preceded though over 100 processes to the final product of 200sqm of panels on a building at Newcastle, Australia. Jason was responsible for bringing that technology to the Australian Company, Dyesol, from a Polytechnic in Lausanne, Switzerland and instrumental in the development of the production facilities in Canberra, Australia.
Jason has Marketing Management training from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has spent two years developing the concepts for Azure Energy’s Marketing and Technology Strategies.
He has a broad range of knowledge of most renewable energy technologies and has some formal education from Ultimo TAFE, NSW in this area. He has studied the financial situations for renewable energy technologies, coal, nuclear and gas in Australia and around the world.
Jason has an Applied Physics degree from UTS and is currently ½ way though a Classic MBA, majoring in Marketing at UTS.
Alexander Hopkins
Director
Alexander Hopkins is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants and has been working in the industry for over thirty years. He began his career as a junior Accountant with GT Hartigan in 1966. In the period to 1977, he was responsible for all Business Service Clients of that firm. He also held the position of Audit Manager in charge of the whole News Limited and Hastings Diesels Group.
In 1979, after time with Touche Ross and Bongiorno's as Taxation Manager, he established his own Chartered Accounting Practice. Hopkins Accounting has a staff of ten including seven qualified Accountants and provides financial services to more than three thousand clients. These include Accounting, Tax Audits, Compliance work, setting up of Super Funds and Companies as well as preparation of Individual, Company, Partnership and Trusts tax returns.
Hopkins Accounting includes in its clients lists many successful Franchises including McDonalds, Subway, Muffin Break, Gloria Jeans, Fernwood Studios and Jamaica Blue. Alex was the founding President of The Peak Industry Body and The Australian Commercial Bamboo Corporation Limited. the year 1800. We aim to provide a good return to shareholders whilst implementing the technologies needed to achieve the 1800 objective.
Antony Coulson
Director
Antony has spent a number of years in the Print Media business and in the last 10 years he has fulfilled roles in senior management within a large manufacturing print company, PMP, producing magazines and catalogues for most of the Australian and New Zealand markets. He was responsible for the management of 230 people in this role.
He has recently taken on a new challenge within the Transport industry managing a large logistics operation, TNT, in inner Sydney. Antony has a Graduate Certificate in Management, Professional Practice, from Charles Sturt University and further education within the Information Technology industries.
